A 36-YEAR-OLD construction worker, who has been placed on probation, was arrested back by police in Loay town, Bohol for not appearing in court.

Police Staff Sergeant Donald Curan, duty investigator at Loay Police Station, said they arrested Aris Villa Bantugan, 36, through a bench warrant issued by Judge Samuel Biliran of the Regional Trial Court Branch 50 of Loay town at 8:35 a.m. Thursday, May 26, 2022.

Villa was sentenced to prison on February 14, 2021 for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

On November 5, 2020, he was placed under probation after being released from jail, but he did not heed the order of the court to make an appearance every now and then, prompting the judge to order for his re-arrest. (BBT, TPT)
