Minor yields P27.6M worth of illegal drugs

A FEMALE minor was apprehended by authorities during a controlled delivery operation launched on Wednesday night, May 25, 2022, in Katurian Road Samana II, Barangay Napindan, Taguig City.

The minor was the listed consignee of a parcel that emanated from United States and arrived at the Port of Clark last May 16, 2022. Authorities said the girl was accompanied by her male friend identified as Relaicco Ailes, 27 years old, resident of 2616 Dimasalang Street, Pasay City during the operation.

Upon inspection, authorities suspected that the said parcel was containing illegal drugs which led to the conduct of the anti-drug operation.

The arrest yielded one package containing around four kilograms of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) amounting to P27,600,000 and other personal belongings.

The operation was conducted by joint operatives led by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Pampanga Provincial Office, PDEA Clark Inter Agency Interdiction Task Group, Bureau of Customs Port of Clark, PDEA Calabarzon, PDEA-National Capital Region SDO and PNP units.

The suspects are now under the custody of PDEA Pampanga for further questionning.
