THE Provincial Government of Pampanga awarded some P5.4 million to child development workers (CDWs) in Pampanga in recognition of their effort and hard work in ensuring that government support reaches the Kapampangan youth.

The capitol awarded P8,000 to each of the 683 CDWs from the four districts of Pampanga.

Provincial Social Welfare and Development officer Elizabeth Baybayan said that role of CDWs is important because they are the first to provide care and meet the needs of children during their formative years.

During the subsidy distribution held at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center this May 25, Governor Dennis Pineda and the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Board Members paid tribute to the CDWs.

Aside from the subsidy, the provincial government is also helping CDWs with children in college education.
