THE Clark Development Corporation (CDC) is set to open two new bikers’ destinations inside the freeport.

This is in line with government-owned firm's program to make Clark bike friendly zone.

The two new cyclists area will accommodate both bicycle commuters and professional bikers.

The Bikers’ Pit Stop is a stopover designed to become a one-stop shop located at the round about at the Panday Pira Avenue and Creekside Road.

The design of the pit stop was inspired from the surrounding greenery because it is made of recovered woods. It’s also a dedicated rest area where bikers and their families may relax.

The pit stop will have retail spaces that can be rented out to interested concessionaires offering various goods and services for bikers.

Food trucks, bike parking area, self-service bike cleaning kiosk, parts and repair shop, first-aid clinic, restrooms, and a pump track will be established in the area.

The Cross Country (XC) Trail on the other hand features a challenging route specially made for professional bikers seeking for adventure.

The Cross Country Trail is also located along the Creekside Road and its starting point is at Midori Park.

All of these will open during the launching of “Clark as a Biker-Friendly Zone” on June 3, 2022 in front of the Clark museum.

Signages including emergency hotlines will be placed along bike paths and existing bike lanes.

Thes signs will also appear along major thoroughfares of this Freeport to remind the bikers of traffic rules and regulations.

CDC said it continues to advocate and implement the “bike culture” within the Freeport to encourage a healthier lifestyle among residents, workers and visitors. End
