Iloilo City 'walking tour' kicks off

ILOILO CITY Government will offer a free walking tour from City Hall facing Plaza Libertad passing Calle Real to Casa Real at Capitol grounds in City Proper starting Thursday, June 2, 2022, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The initiative aims to create awareness and appreciation of the city’s rich cultural heritage and history.

Mayor Jerry P. Treñas encouraged everyone to support tourism promotions as part of economic recovery from the effects of the pandemic.

A group of 10 people per tour guide will be accommodated.

There will be no schedule on June 9, 2022 as the tour guides will be attending a seminar.

Tour resumes on June 16, 2022.

The public is advised to practice health safety protocols such as proper wearing of facemask and hand hygiene. (PR)
