Tax Notes: NCR and Western Visayas wage boards grant minimum wage increase

The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) NCR and RTWPB Region 6 has recently issued Wage Order No. NCR-23 and Wage Order RBVI-26, respectively, which grants the minimum wage increase for workers in private establishments in their respective regions.

The table below summarizes the new minimum wage rates for the two regions:

The increase in minimum wage rates for NCR and Region 6 shall take effect on June 4, 2022 and June 5, 2022, respectively, or 15 days from its publication in a newspaper of general circulation.
