THE crimes committed against women and children in Central Luzon has decreased by nearly 11 percent.

Police Regional Office III Director Brigadier General Matthew Baccay said that there were only 763 recorded crimes against women and children regionwide from January to May of this year.

The number is 10.96 percent lower than the 867 cases recored in the same period last year.

Baccay said the decrease in crimes is attributed to various police measures and practices continuously implemented by PRO-3 personnel.

“The significant decrease in crimes against women and children can be attributed to the leveling up of our anti-criminality measures utilizing social media as one of our platforms as well as maximum efforts on police community relations,” he said.
