Zamboanga City builds P25-M school building

THE City Government of Zamboanga formally turned over on Monday, May 30, 2022, the newly-constructed three-storey building at the Vitali Elementary School to the Department of Education (DepEd).

Mayor Maria Isabelle Cliamco-Salazar said the project is a symbol of the city government's support for the education of young children.

Salazar said it is also in line with the commitment of the local government to education.

The school building worth P25 million was undertaken by a private contractor under the supervision of the City Engineer's Office.

Salazar said that the project forms part of her Security Health and Education (SHE) program.

Officials of DepEd, Vitali village council, and representatives from the City Engineer's Office, teachers, students, and the contractor witnessed the turnover of the project. (SunStar Zamboanga)
