ACTOR Enchong Dee, who is facing cyberlibel charges filed by Representative Claudine Diana Bautista-Lim of Dumper PTDA (Drivers United for Mass Progress and Equal Rights–Philippines Taxi Drivers Association) partylist, was spotted at the Hall of Justice in Digos City, Davao del Sur on Thursday, June 2.

In a report from Digos-based news outlet Kakampi Digital, Dee attended the mediation in relation to the P1-billion cyber libel case filed by Bautista in November 2021.

In August 2021, Dee accused the lawmaker of using public funds, intended for commuters and drivers, for her wedding with Jose French “Tracker” Lim, a businessman.

Dee posted on his Twitter account, saying: “The money for commuters and drivers went to her wedding. Let’s not prolong this conversation and don’t say otherwise.”

The wedding drew criticisms from netizens after Dubai-based fashion designer Michael Cinco posted a photograph of the wedding gown on social media.

The actor, later on, deleted the tweet and apologized.

On January 31, 2022, the actor surrendered to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and posted a P48,000 bail.

Bautista-Lim, in a statement, said the actor's tweet was “malicious” and “defamatory.”

The lawmaker, a daughter of outgoing Davao Occidental Governor and Congressman-elect Claude Bautista, said during the grand rally organized by her party on May 1, that she was hurt by the accusation of actor Enchong Dee that she did nothing in her stint at the House of Representatives.

“Mao nang magsakit gyud ang akong buot nga ingnon lang ko ni Enchong nga wala koy gibuhat (That is why I was hurt with the accusation of Enchong that I did nothing in my position),” Bautista-Lim said.

Dee, as of writing, has not issued any statement, nor made any social media post related to his visit in the city. RGL
