DA hosts training for Kapampangan farmers on effective production, processing practices

THE Department of Agriculture Central Luzon conducted five-day training to help Kapampangan farmers in their production to marketing processes.

The seminar focused on the preparation of a Business Plan, Project Proposal, and Cluster Development Plan. The trainings were held at the Savannah Resort Hotel in Angeles City from May 23 to 27, 2022.

The training aims to educate and encourage Kapampangan farmers in adopting the strategy of clustering and consolidating of their production, processing, and marketing activities.

With this, farmers and fisherfolk can attain and achieve the DA’s battle cry “Masaganang Ani at Mataas na Kita”. Meanwhile, resource speakers were Luis Bausa and Richard Oton.

Identified Farmers’ Cooperatives and Associations namely Balucuc Integrated Farmers Association, Inc.; St. Patrick Vegetables Farmers NFF Association; La Paz Turu Upland Farmers Association; Mabalacat Corn Cluster; and Bambang Multi-Purpose Cooperative participated and attended the said activity.

Compliance to the DA Administrative Order No. 27 issued by Secretary William Dar, the agency created the program entitled Farm and Fisheries Clustering and Consolidation (F2C2) Program in August 2020.
