Re-elected Maglanque takes oath before Zubiri

MAYOR Rene Maglanque of Candaba town on Wednesday took their oath of office as re-elected local chief executive before Senator Migz Zubiri.

The oath-taking ceremony was held at the Senate during the last session day of the 18th Congress.

Zubiri, who is on his second term as senator, is poised to become the next Senate President, replacing outgoing Senator Tito Sotto.

Aside from Maglanque, Zubiri also administered the oath-taking of re-elected and newly-elected Sangguniang Bayan members of Candaba town.

Maglanque, who will be serving his second term, won over former mayor Danilo Baylon’s wife Aniway with 12,126 vote difference.
