A MAN was found dead inside his house in Sitio Mananga 2, Barangay Tabunok in Talisay City, Cebu, on Sunday morning, June 5, 2022, five days after he was last seen alive.

Police identified the man as Ramon Gil, who was 56 and a native of Sibonga town in southern Cebu.

The Talisay City Police Station received a report about the discovery of Gil’s dead body at 10 a.m. A team of police officers, including investigators, responded to the report.

When the team arrived outside Gil’s residence in Sitio Mananga 2, it learned from his neighbors that his body was found after a foul odor came out of his house.

Gil’s neighbor Edmon Sanchez said he last saw Gil alive last Tuesday morning, May 31. Gil had never left his house since then.

Sanchez also said Gil was living alone in his house.

Gil was reportedly suffering from an unknown illness as different parts of his body have already swollen. His neighbor had advised him to consult a doctor but he did not.

The Talisay City Police Station contacted Gil’s relatives in Sibonga and they have no plans to conduct an autopsy on his body, believing there had been no foul play involved in his death.
