NEGROS Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson and other officials will promote the province’s tourism and investment opportunities to the people in Guam.
Lacson is currently in the US territory to be the guest of honor and speaker for the Independence Day commemoration with the Filipino community there.
He was with Provincial Administrator lawyer Rayfrando Diaz II, Executive Assistant and Provincial Information Officer Charina Magallanes Tan and Provincial Tourism Officer Cheryl Decena.
The officials met with Consul General Patrick John Hilado at the Office of the Philippine Consulate General in Guam Tuesday, June 7, 2022.
Lacson will also pay a courtesy call to the governor of Guam and other agencies to explore and strengthen the ties between the territory and Negros Occidental in the field of tourism, among others.
While Lacson is out of the country, Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer is designated as acting governor effective June 7 to 9 while Board Member Rommel Debulgado is designated as acting vice governor until June 10, 2022. (With PR)
