THE newly organized 101st Infantry Battalion (IB) of the 11th Infantry Division (ID) has undergone test and evaluation conducted by the Philippine Army’s Training and Doctrine Command (Tradoc).

The test and evaluation was conducted Saturday, June 4, 2022, at the 101IB headquarters on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Air Transportation Office (ATO) Complex in Liang village, Patikul, Sulu.

Colonel Paul Anthony Guerrero, Tradoc chief evaluator, said the 101IB was tested and evaluated in the fields of weapons familiarization, marksmanship, signal operations, Immediate Action Drills (IAD), Military Decision Making Process (MDMP), fires and maneuvers.

Colonel Leomar Jose Doctolero, 11th Division Training School commandant, said the 101IB went through a two-month organizational training to develop the skills and knowledge of the troops in order for them to perform their roles effectively and efficiently.

Major General Ignatius Patrimonio, 11ID commander, lauded the 101IB for hurdling the two months of training.

“Your training increases your capabilities in accomplishing missions. You have been prepared with essential knowledge and skills and was equipped with modern warfighting equipment,” Patrimonio said.

“You are now ready for deployment, and I am confident that will be able to perform your duties and responsibilities with best outcome,” Patrimonio added.

The organizational training of 101IB commenced on February 8, 2022.

The battalion's personnel were subjected to rigorous training in order to ensure its operational readiness in all battlefield scenarios.

Tradoc, as the source of Army Standard, oversees the test and evaluation of Army Battalion to ensure that the Army units are at par with the standard excellence set-forth by the organization.

Its objective is to train and educate Army forces and integrate doctrine with Army capabilities to strengthen land warfare competencies.

It provides a venue for the learning and development of officers, enlisted personnel, and civilian human resources of the Philippine Army. (SunStar Zamboanga)
