A SIX- to seven-month-old fetus was found inside a restroom by a janitress in Jagna town, Bohol around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8, 2022.

Master Sergeant Jill Rasonabe, chief investigator of the Women and Children's Protection Desk of Jagna Police Station, said in an interview with Sunstar Cebu that janitress Analiza Ortega, 38, discovered the fetus placed in a red eco-bag inside a trash bin while she was cleaning the restroom.

The male fetus was believed to have just come out from his mother's womb as there was still fresh blood in his body.

Ortega and a barbecue vendor nearby, Jesa Narisma, brought the fetus to the Teodoro B. Galagar District Hospital, but the unborn baby was already lifeless as declared by Dr. Grace Bunao.

Rasonable said they still have no clue who left the fetus.

"Naay CCTV (closed-circuit television) camera pero ang problema layo ra kini ug dili makuha ang pagsulod sa usa ka tawo didto sa CR, mao nga nangayo mi og tabang sa mga taga barangay," Rasonabe said.

(There is a CCTV camera in the area but is very far and cannot capture somebody entering the CR, that's why we asked help from the barangay officials)

Rasonabe said they have already coordinated with the barangay captains in Jagna if they noticed any pregnant women in their respective area whose stomach got smaller to determine the owner of the fetus.
