High-value suspect falls in anti-drug sting

POLICEMEN have arrested a high-value individual (HVI) drug suspect in an anti-drug operation in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay, the police reported Thursday, June 9, 2022.

Police Colonel Albert Larubis, Zamboanga Sibugay police director, identified the arrested HVI suspect as Abdulganih Mijan Inting, 48, a farmer.

Larubis said Inting was arrested in a buy-bust operation around 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, in Purok Gaway-Gaway, Buluan village, Ipil, the capital of Zamboanga Sibugay.

Larubis said seized from the suspect were some 75 grams of suspected shabu packed in five heat-sealed plastic sachets with an estimated worth of P510,000, a plastic bag, 180 pieces P1,000 bill and 59 pieces P500 bill as boodle money topped with one genuine P500 bill as marked money.

He said the arrested suspect was placed under the custody of Ipil Municipal Police Station pending the filing of charges. (SunStar Zamboanga)
