THE Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), through its Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (Penro), led a tree planting activity of 1,000 trees in Arayat town over the weekend.
The event was held in Barangay San Juan Baño with personnel from DENR PENRO Pampanga, led by PENR Officer Roger Encarnacion, DENR Regional Office 3 led by Assistant Regional Director for Technical Services Arthur Salazar, officers from the Philippine National Police, Local Government of San Juan Baño and representatives from partner People's Organization.
Encarnacion urged everyone to help in protecting the environment emphasizing its importance to human lives. "Kung walang kalikasan, walang buhay" he said. A total of 1,000 tree seedlings of Bamboo, Guyabano and Narra were planted on site.
