The San Miguel Beermen won their second game in a row with a 100-92 victory over the NLEX Road Warriors in the PBA Season 47 Philippine Cup on Friday afternoon at the Ynares Center.

The win propper San Miguel atop the standings with a 2-0 card. CJ Perez filled the stat-sheet up with 19 points, six rebounds, five assists, and three steals as San Miguel came all the way back from a 12-point deficit to steal the win.

Marcio Lassiter added 18 markers, going 4-of-8 from rainbow country in a game where he reached a personal milestone of 1,000 three-pointers.

Power forward Vic Manuel came off the bench and added 14 points, while Chris Ross chipped in 13. Six-time league MVP June Mar Fajardo was held down to just nine points but he grabbed 14 rebounds.

NLEX was within striking distance, 83-86, after a bucket by Calvin Oftana with less than six minutes remaining. However, Fajardo canned two free-throws while Perez shot in a jumper and a free-throw to give San Miguel a 91-83 lead.

A Justin Chua jumper pulled the Road Warriors to within six but the Beermen just had too much firepower as they pulled away late to nab the victory.

Don Trollano had 21 points for NLEX, which dropped to 1-1. Oftana had 16, while Chua finished with 12. Kevin Alas and JR Quinahan produced 10 points each.
