Animal hospital in Kabankalan City to operate soon

NEGROS Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson and Kabankalan City Mayor Pedro Zayco Jr. have signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) for the operationalization of Kabankalan City Animal Hospital at the Governor's Office in Bacolod City on Tuesday, June 14.

The animal hospital was a collaborative program of the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental and Kabankalan City Government for the benefit and welfare of animals in the city and neighboring localities.

Under the MOA, the province will allocate a budget for the procurement of the necessary furnishings and fixtures, equipment, supplies, and biologics needed for the operation of the animal hospital.

It will also provide technical supervision through the Provincial Veterinary Office (PVO) for efficient and effective delivery of basic animal health and production services.

The City Government, meanwhile, will operate and manage the animal hospital and shoulder utility expenses.

The MOA signing was witnessed by Board Members Jeffrey Tubola and Andrew Montelibano, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz II, Provincial Legal Officer Alberto Nellas Jr., and Provincial Veterinarian Renante Decena, among others. (SunStar Bacolod/With PR)
