A CITY Veterinary Clinic and Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory will soon rise in Zamboanga City.
Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar said the City Government has earmarked P20 million for the project at the City Abattoir compound in San Roque village, Zamboanga City.
Salazar said the project is in line with the city’s thrust to upgrading animal health services.
Salazar together with Dr. Mario Arriola, Office of the City Veterinarian (OCVet) chief, led the groundbreaking rites Tuesday, June 14, for the Vet Clinic and Animal Laboratory jumpstarting the project.
The project will upgrade existing veterinary services offered by the OCVet and will cater to walk-in patients.
It will be offer comprehensive veterinary services for cats and dogs and other pets.
The funding for the project is included in the 2019 Executive Legislative Agenda, which was put on hold due to the Covid-19 pandemic. (SunStar Zamboanga)
