CAAP launches online platform for height clearance permits

THE Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has launched an online platform for Height Clearance Permit (HPC) issuance.

This is part of the agency's commitment to streamline the issuance of permits, licenses, and certificates for the construction of shared Passive Telecommunication Tower Infrastructures (PTTI).

CAAP conducted the ceremonial launching and simulation of the CAAP map of Critical Areas on June 16, 2022.

In coordination with the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) and Department of Information Communications Technology (DICT), the authority stated that it has continuously taken steps to improve the HCP application process.

The map of CAAP Critical Areas will serve as a guide for stakeholders in relation to their application for HCP prior to submitting their requirements.

"In order to implement the intent of the JMC and recognize the amount of work to make this day possible, I want to congratulate each one of you [at the Height Clearance Committee] for the work you have done not only for CAAP, but for the Filipino people." Director General Jim Sydiongco said.

He added that CAAP Height Clearance committee has accepted the challenge of reengineering the HCP process even with limited resources available to benefit the public.

ARTA OIC Undersecretary Ernesto V. Perez expressed gratitude to CAAP for launching the online platform which is expected to provide services that are responsive to the needs of the Filipino people.

The CAAP Critical Areas virtual map can be accessed online via http://www.caap.gov.ph/. Under "Other Services," click the Height Clearance icon then select "CAAP Critical Areas."

Aside from the virtual map of critical areas, an online portal digitalizing the process of applying for height clearance permits is also set to be available soon at the CAAP website (www.caap.gov.ph).
