VICE President-elect Sara Duterte-Carpio has appointed former Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG) commissioner and chairman lawyer Reynold Munsayac as her spokesperson.
Munsayac will replace Liloan Mayor Christina Garcia-Frasco, who was appointed by incoming President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. as the secretary of the Department of Tourism (DOT).
Duterte-Carpio expressed gratitude to Frasco for her help in the “timely and effective communication of her messages to the Filipino through the media.”
“She (Frasco) was committed to the truthful dissemination of information, and her duty as the spokesperson was marked with intelligence and grace,” the office of Duterte-Carpio said in a statement.
“Inday Sara wishes the incoming Secretary of the Department of Tourism Frasco all the best in her new role in nation building,” it added.
Munsayac and Duterte-Carpio were classmates in law school.
In 2017, Munsayac assisted her in the establishment of the worldwide aggrupation Tapang at Malasakit.
Munsayac resigned as from the PCGG commissioner to help campaign for the Vice President-elect.
“Munsayac's professional portfolio is highlighted by his unquestionable integrity and dedication to governance and public service, and the Vice President-elect is confident that he will be able to bring this experience to his new duty,” Duterte-Carpio’s office said. (SunStar Philippines)
