SIX months after she eluded arrest, the top two priority target on the local drugs watchlist of San Carlos City, Negros Occidental was finally arrested in the city Tuesday, June 21, 2022.

San Carlos City Police Deputy Chief Lieutenant Ruby Aurita said Jean Compacion, 31, of Santo Rosario in the city’s Barangay Rizal, is also the locality’s third most wanted person.

Aurita said Compacion was apprehended around 7 a.m. at her residence on the strength of an arrest warrant issued on February 24 this year by Judge Kathrine Go of the Regional Trial Court Branch 59 for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Compacion is currently detained at the lockup cell of San Carlos City Police Station as the judge denied her bail, she said.

Aurita added that Compacion’s case stemmed from a buy-bust operation conducted by authorities on January 12, 2022 at Puso Tres at Hacienda San Jose in the city’s Barangay Guadalupe where she was able to evade arrest.

But her live-in partner Joel Rizardo, 24, of Greenville Bato, Barangay Rizal, a high-value individual and previously number one priority target on the local drugs watchlist of San Carlos City was apprehended.

His arrest resulted in the recovery of P10.2 million worth of suspected shabu, police records showed.

Police Regional Office-Western Visayas Director Brigadier General Flynn E Dongbo lauded the policemen from the San Carlos Component City Police Station, the Second Maneuver Platoon- 605th Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion-Western Visayas and Philippine National Police Maritime Group for arresting Compacion.
