Mabalacat City logs 10 active Covid-19 cases

THE city government has recorded 10 active cases of Covid-19 on June 21.

This after the local health office reported one new case on the same day as gleaned in the Mabalacat City Covid-19 Updates posted on Facebook social media post.

No new fatalites and new patient recoveries were recorded in the city on the same date.

A total of 8,841 residents contracted the virus since the start of the pandemic in March 2020. Of these figure, some 8,591 patients had recovered from the virus.

Some 240 people residing in the city died from Covid-19.

Mayor Cris Garbo earlier urged his constituents to get booster Covid-19 vaccines to get extra protection against the virus.

The mayor ordered for a barangay vaccination drive to saturate villages especially the far-flung ones.

"We need to visit every barangay to provide vaccines to villagers who cannot afford to go to government centers especially the elderly and the persons with disabilities," Garbo said.
