NEGRENSE Kristelle Lacang, an Electronics Communications Engineering (ECE) graduate from the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R), currently works at Warner Bros. World in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates as its senior rides technician.

Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi is an indoor theme park owned and developed by Miral Asset Management.

The park features characters from Warner Bros’ franchises, such as Looney Tunes, DC Comics, Hanna-Barbera, and others.

“It has been nearly three years since I worked at this theme park and I can say that a lot has changed,” Lacang said, adding that she has become more experienced, skilled and efficient.

She gives credit to UNO-R, the institution that honed the person that she is now.

For Lacang, facing the real world is challenging and scary, hence, it is essential to build a strong foundation for whatever profession you want to pursue.

“I am proud to say that I have set the foundation for my ECE family,” she said.

She stressed that all of us could dream as high as we can fly and as deep as we can dive in an ocean, as far as we can walk but we just have to make the right decisions in life, which she believes she did.

Despite her achievement, she continues to dream, which is one step higher than my dream, saying, “who knows what tomorrow may bring?”

Asked for a message to those who also want to succeed in life, she said, “just take the first step and never stop believing in yourself and your capabilities with the guidance of the Lord.”

She came home recently to spend her vacation here with her family. She visited her Alma Mater and met her professor Lea Joy Jaro Hiponia.
