DAVAO City recorded 28 Covid-19 cases from June 12 to 18, 2022, according to the Davao City Covid-19 Task Force on Wednesday, June 22.

Spokesperson Dr. Michelle Schlosser said during a radio interview with the Davao City Disaster Radio that 25 cases are vaccinated without boosters while three are unvaccinated. However, all 28 cases remain mild.

In addition, ten new cases were recorded on June 22 equivalent to a three percent positivity rate. Schlosser said it is still within the accepted rate of below five percent.

“It’s still below five percent which is the acceptable rate but compared to previous days and weeks, isa ni siya sa pinakamataas ang three percent (but the three percent is one of the highest we’ve had lately). Kasi (Because) usually it’s either one percent or less ang atong (our) positivity rate,” Schlosser said.

The majority of the cases are also admitted to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility (TTMF) but can transfer to home isolation if the patients are deemed fit.

“For those cases or patients that are eligible for home quarantine, given that they have met the requirements, can avail. It’s also under Executive Order No. 11, even though wala ta’y surge (we don’t have a surge), it’s already permitted,” she said,

In line with this, Schlosser reiterates reminders to the public to keep practicing the minimum public health standards and keep their anti-Covid-19 vaccinations up to date. ICM
