The San Miguel Beermen will be looking to ride the momentum of their previous leg title victory as they compete in Leg 6 of the PBA 3x3 Third Conference on Saturday at the Robinsons Place Manila.

Jeff Manday, Ken Bono, and the rest of the team were crowned Leg 5 champion last week after outplaying favorite TNT in the finals, 21-12, and denying the Tropang Giga’s bid of becoming the first-ever team to win three straight leg championships.

With momentum on their side, coach Boyzie Zamar and the Beermen are definitely not taking chances in their bid for back-to-back leg crowns heading to the last grand finals of the season slated for next week.

San Miguel is bracketed in Pool A alongside Barangay Ginebra, Limitless App, and Pioneer Pro Tibay, while in Pool B are TNT, Pureoods TJ Titans, and Zamboanga Valientes.

Over at Pool C are Cavitex, Platinum Karaoke, NorthPort, and Master Sardines, while Terrafirma, Meralco, and Sista Super Sealers make up Pool D.

A total of 14 games will again be played on Day 1 of the competition, and then five more to be held on Sunday before proceeding to the knockout stage that will feature the top two teams to finish in their respective pool.

A total of P100,000 will be handed over to the leg champion, while the runner-up and third placer will receive P50,000 and P30,000, respectively.

The season’s final leg also gives teams one final push in their bid to advance to the grand finals, where P750,000 await the conference champion.

So far, TNT, Meralco, San Miguel, and the rejuvenated Cavitex Braves occupy the top four slots and are almost locked for outright berths in the grand finals.

Occupying the fifth spot is Platinum Karaoke, Purefoods TJ Titans, Terrafirma 3x3, Barangay Ginebra, Limitless App, and Sista Super Sealers.

Only the top 10 will advance to the grand finals.
