No traffic rerouting for Baste’s oath-taking

THERE will neither be a traffic rerouting nor barricades for the inauguration of outgoing Vice-Mayor and Mayor-Elect Sebastian “Baste” Duterte on June 27, 2022.

Davao City Police Office (DCPO) PMaj. Teresita Gaspan said the inauguration will be open to all Dabawenyos who would like to witness the event.

“Lahi ni siya tong katong Sunday na inauguration ni VP (Vice-President)-Elect Sara Duterte aduna’y kalahian, kini iyaha open sa public pero walay barricade na masinati, wala’y mga railings, so murag bitaw ordinary days nga people come and go, moagi sa diha nga area, so ing-ana ang mamahimong scene sa karung umaabot na June 27 (This will be different from VP-Elect Sara Duterte’s inauguration because this will be open to the public and there will be no barricades nor railings. People are able to move around more),” Gaspan said.

Gaspan said the oath-taking will be done inside the Session Hall, Sangguniang Panlungsod at 2:55 p.m. Sebastian Duterte will be giving his message outside the City Hall.

According to Gaspan, Judge Loida S. Posadas-Kahulugan will administer the oath. Outgoing President Rodrigo Duterte is also expected to come.

Gaspan said there’s no after-concert or party on the day of the event.

“Diri sa program nga gihatag sa atoa, wala may nabutang nga aduna’y kantahan or concert... I think naa pay mga changes ani, anyway Friday pa man karun (Based on the program given to us, there’s no such thing as an after party or concert, but it’s still Friday there might be some changes),” Gaspan said.

Gaspan said they will deploy 941 dedicated security personnel to provide full security coverage for the inauguration. KSD
