THE Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas (Opav) has allocated a P9.9 million fund for the education of 411 Tesda scholars who will be taking up various courses offered by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda).

Assistant Secretary Ramil Ayuman of the Department of Social Welfare and Development said on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, that courses offered under the program are welding, cookery, computer system servicing, massage, heavy equipment operation and bread and pastry production.

Classes will be held in Tesda's mobile centers in San Remigio and Medellin, except for the welding course, which will be done at the Livelihood and Technical Skills Training Center in Bogo City, northern Cebu.

A total of 411 students from Bogo and its neighboring municipalities, including San Remigio and Medellin, will benefit from the program.

Ayuman said he already coordinated with the local chief executives of San Remigio and Medellin for the undertaking. (PAC, TPT)
