THE local elected officials have been encouraged to work together for the betterment of Zamboanga City.
This were the call of incoming Mayor John Dalipe and and incoming first district Congressman Khymer Olaso during the inauguration ceremony Monday, June 27, of the newly-elected and reelected local government officials.
“Let us work hand in hand for the good of Zamboanga City,” Olaso said.
Dalipe said that it is time to change and everyone should work together to develop the city.
“Starting today, all political colors shall come together as one in the name of progress, development and change,” Dalipe said.
Dalipe also vowed that there will be transparency in his administration.
The 38-year-old Dalipe, a former councilor of the Second District, is the youngest elected mayor in the city’s history.
Leyte first district Rep. Ferdinand Martin Romuladez, the inauguration’s guest speaker, congratulated all the newly and reelected local government officials.
Romualdez, who is being eyed as the next speaker of the House of Representatives, also promised to help the two congresspersons to bring development in the city.
