MAYOR Abundio Punsalan Jr. has assured Simonians of the continuous accessibility of local government programs to all sectors as he officially serves his second term yesterday noon.

Punsalan made the assurance during his oath-taking and inauguration ceremony which was administered by former fourth district Representative Juan Pablo “Rimpy” Bondoc.

According to Punsalan, his second term in office will be anchored in the vision of bringing closer the services of the local government to its people.

In his inaugural speech, Punsalan bared some of the programs and projects that are set to be implemented in the next three years.

Among them are the concreting of the San Jose-San Miguel bridge, the opening of the San Simon Community Hospital, construction of a public tertiary school and local roads.

He also vows to expand programs benefitting indigent students, farmers, transport drivers, solo parents and senior citizens.

The re-elected mayor also asked for the continued partnership and cooperation of the business sector, especially industrial firms along the Quezon Road.

Meanwhile, Punsalan urged his fellow elected officials to unite for the common goal of providing development in San Simon.
