REELECTED Mayor Crisostomo Garbo has vowed to continue the healthcare program he initiated few years ago for his "beloved" constituents particularly the indigent ones.

During his inaugural speech at the SMX Convention Center in Clark on Thursday, the mayor said this is part of his 12 pillars towards good public governance.

"Our first priority is still the healthcare. No Mabalaqueño should ever suffer from sickness without a fighting chance to live. Hence, our healthcare program shall be enhanced through our very own wellness center," Garbo said.

The local chief executive also mentioned education as one of the priorities of his administration.

"The second priority is education. I am very serious about this because I do believe it is through education that family social economic status can improve. I can proudly tell you that we are leading the race in tertiary education," Garbo said.

The mayor said he will work for the upgrading of the Mabalacat City College into university.

"In my first 100 days, MCC will be declared as University," Garbo said.

He disclosed that a 4-storey building will be erected at the MCC Dapdap Campus.

"Aside from that we will be launching the five smart classrooms that are sound proof, fully equipped with audio, camera and a digital white board with behavior monitoring for hybrid learning. The first school in the Philippines with Huawei smart classroom technology.

Another agenda Garbo stressed is the economic recovery of the city after the COVID 19 pandemic.

"Magbibigay tayo ng tulong sa mga micro and small businesses to augment income of families affected by the pandemic. We will not only provide capital and resources but package shall include business and financial literacy," the mayor said.

"Talagang importante na mabyasa lang magnegosyu bangkanita sasanting ing kabyayan. We’ve already started this project but we will add more in this package," he added.

Garbo's other governance pillars include moral values, digital information, environment, peace and order, crisis management, poverty alleviation and others.

During his speech, the mayor even shared a bible verse, Ezekiel 11:19, saying "I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh."

With this, Garbo asked for his constituent's love and cooperation for the city's progress.

The mayor and the other newly elected officials thanked the people of Mabalacat for their support.

Other city officials who took their oath of office during the ceremony were Vice Mayor Geld Aquino and councilors Jun Castro, Cherry Manalo, Marjorie Sambo, Timmy Dee, Cocoy Tiglao, Noel Castro, Liza Pineda, Rox Pena, Jerry Magsino, and Carl Dizon.
