THREE drug personalities were arrested in a drug bust operation by operatives of Police Station 8 at Barangay Singcang-Airport, Bacolod City around 10:40 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2022.
Police identified the suspects as Rodhah Mae Guevarra, 38; Eduardo Villanueva Jr., 43; and Trysha Ruiz, 22, both residents of the barangay’s Purok Neptune.
Major Joery Puerto, commander of Police Station 8, said yesterday the suspects were arrested after one of them sold a sachet of shabu to a poseur buyer.
Police recovered from the suspects’ possession seven sachets of suspected shabu weighing 35 grams valued at P238,000, the P1,000 marked money and coin purse.
Puerto said Guevarra, who was identified as a high value individual, was the target of their operation while her two companions were also identified as street level individuals.
He said the suspects were under surveillance for almost a month before their arrest, adding that Guevarra was also jailed in 2021 for violation of illegal drugs.
Puerto noted that Guevarra used to operate in Barangay Singcang-Airport and she took her supply of illegal drugs in Barangay Banago.
The suspects are detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 8. They will be charged for violation of Sections 5 and 11 Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
