Mayor Baste urges city employees to give people 'good experience'

DAVAO City Mayor Sebastian Duterte reminded the city government employees to hasten government transactions, and give clients a "good experience."

"Tagai ninyo'g good experience ang mga muduol sa atoa diria sa atong trabaho sa gobyerno," Duterte said during the flag raising ceremony on Monday, July 4 at the Davao City Hall Ground.

The mayor only gave a short message during the first flag ceremony under his administration.

In a press conference at his office, Duterte emphasized the importance of implementing Republic Act 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018, which is an act that aims to streamline the current systems and procedures of government services.

"We have to be reminded na we have a law for the administration," he said.

Duterte, who took office formally at noon on June 30, said in his inauguration speech on June 27, that his administration will be pushing for the digitalization of public transactions and the delivery of government services.

He also vowed to eradicate red tape and fixing, and urged the public to report them to his office, and the Anti-Red Tape Authority (Arta).

He also warned those who will be using his name for personal transactions and favors.

"Ayaw mo og tuo og name dropping. Mao ni ang pinakadakong sakit gyud nato diriang kalibutana na ni... Ayaw mo og tuo og name dropping unless the person naatubang ninyo," Duterte said. RGL
