STI-WNU co-hosts international research conference

THE STI-West Negros University (STI-WNU) in Bacolod City has co-hosted the 9th Virtual National and International Research Conference with Huachiew Chalermprakiet University (HCU) in Thailand via Zoom on July 1, 2022.

Theme “Research to Serve Society,” the conference was participated by other presenters and audience coming from Thailand, Indonesia, and China.

Seven faculty researchers presented their research articles along their fields of specialization.

Dr. Jake Laurence Mercado presented his paper on School-based Management: Commitment, Compliance, and Challenges followed by Dr. Bryan Tirol with his paper on The Effects of Inquiry-based Approach on Pupils’ Performance and Motivation in Science.

Dr. Lyka Garcia also presented her study on the Implementation of Control Program in Covid-19 Management in a District Hospital in Negros Occidental while Dr. Monijean Espeleta presented on the Effects of Group Chat on Learners’ English Proficiency.

Other presenters included Dr. Danilo Sumbi whose study is Teachers’ Awareness and Effectiveness in Values Integration Program in a High School in Negros Occidental; Dr. Cherry Praico on Teachers’ Organizational Commitment and Job Satisfaction in the New Normal; and Dr. Yasmin Pascual-Dormido on Preference and Utilizaiton of Media Channels as Communication Instruments of Local Public Administrators in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.

The research conference enabled the researchers to present their research findings to a much wider audience, the school said in a press release. (PR)
