Indigent Iloilo City residents get free wheelchair

ILOILO City Government, through the Office of the Special Assistant to the Mayor, is giving free wheelchair to indigent city residents.

There are 74 units available, while 13 were already distributed.

Mayor Jerry Treñas hopes this will be of big help to persons with disabilities who cannot afford to buy wheelchair for their own use.

Those who are interested to avail themselves of the free wheelchair should secure requirements including Certificate of Indigency with Declaration of "No Existing Wheelchair" from the Barangay; Medical Certificate from District Health Center; colored whole body picture taken within 30 days; photocopy of government-issued ID; and case study prepared by City Social Welfare and Development Office.
