LOCAL police arrested a female office manager and her alleged lover after they were caught in the act by her husband having sex with a married man in a condominium unit in downtown Cebu City on Tuesday morning, July 5, 2022.
Police, however, released Juliana and Paul (not their real names) after the woman’s husband, Carlos, decided not to press charges against them.
Police said Carlos was reportedly suspicious of his wife after he often spotted her and Paul, who is her co-worker, onboard the company vehicle.
To verify what Juliana’s relationship with Paul was, Carlos decided to follow them on Tuesday while they were onboard the company car. He was shocked to see the vehicle entering a condominium in downtown Cebu City.
When Carlos saw Juliana and Paul entering one of the condo units, he decided to call police to help him corner his wife and her alleged lover.
Personnel from the Waterfront Police Station immediately went to the condominium and gathered outside the door of the unit where Juliana and Paul were staying.
When Carlos and the police entered the unit, Juliana was caught in the act of having sex with Paul.
Forgive and forget
When Juliana and Paul were brought to the police station to face Carlos, the wife immediately sought her husband’s forgiveness.
Carlos, out of great love for his wife, decided to forgive Juliana.
Waterfront Police Station Chief Maj. Henry Orbiso told reporters that Juliana and Carlos left the station together while Paul went his own way.
“Buotan kaayo ang bana. Gipasaylo ra gyud niya ang iyang asawa bisan iya ning naabtan nga dunay kauban nga lalake sa kwarto,” Orbiso added.
(The husband was kind. He forgave his wife even if he caught her with another man in a room.)
Co-workers react
Juliana’s co-workers, who volunteered to speak to SunStar Cebu on condition of anonymity, were surprised that their female division manager would commit such act, especially with a colleague, who was also married.
A co-worker said that Juliana has two children with Carlos and was never problematic when it comes to money as her husband operates his own business.
