THE Rotary Club of Bacolod-East (RCBE) is now led by a lawyer who just passed the recent bar examinations.
Atty. John Deles succeeded the RCBE Presidency from Immediate Past President Dr. Jose Lizael "Nonoy" Lampines, a broadcaster and educator being connected at the Carlos Hilado Memorial State University.
In accepting his new post during a turnover rite held at the N' Bistro Inn in Barangay Bata, Bacolod City, on July 2, 2022, Deles said he dreams of having the best and most exciting club under his watch.
District 3850 past district governor Dr. Jundad Legislador and assistant governor Trixie Ambino were the guests of honor during the turnover activity with RCBE officers, members, and the family members of the Rotarians and guests present.
This year's Rotary theme: "Imagine Rotary," speaks volumes about how Rotary service and friendships will continue to inspire the world.
"I accept this obligation to serve you all and our community (and) as I received this Rotary gavel, it gives it the authority to steer this Rotary Club of Bacolod – East for Rotary Year 2022-23 to its very purpose – Service to the people,” Deles stressed.
He said that they are very grateful to have the message Jundad that reminds them of imagining things and the goodness of rotary in the service of humanity.
“As my fellow Rotary officials and I accept our humble task of leading one of the prestigious Rotary Clubs in our District-the Rotary Club of Bacolod East, I am honored to inform my RCBE Family that I am dreaming of the best and most exciting Club under our common watch," Deles also said.
Deles noted that everyone’s cooperation shown at this moment is one of the most significant achievements which he can be proud of as they dream of excellent service for their fellow Rotarians, the community, and humanity.
