POLICE on Thursday arrested the lone suspect in the killing of Princess Dianne Dayor, a 24 year old industrial engineeer from Barangay Tabang, Guiguinto town in Bulacan province.
Colonel Charlie Cabradilla, acting director of the Bulacan Provincial Office, identified the suspect as Darwin De Jesus alias "Lupin" and Darwin Hernandez, who was arrested at his house near the victim's residence.
Combined personnel of the Malolos police and Guiguinto police arrested De Jesus at around 4:30 pm.
Cabradilla presented the suspect to Governor Daniel Fernando and members of the media Thursday night.
Dayor's body was found at a creek between Barangay Tikay, Malolos and Barangay Tabang in Guiguinto.
She was last seen on July 2 and believed to heading to work in Pulilan, Bulacan as an engineer in an undisclosed firm.
Police investigators believed Dayor died from strangulation hinting that the suspect may have used the victim's sling bag to kill her.
The victim's cellphone and wallet were reportedly missing.
Cabradilla earlier said they are looking into a possible case of robbery with homicide in connectin with the case.
Earlier, the local government of Malolos has offered P300,000 reward to anyone who can provide information regarding the identity and whereabouts of Dayor's killer.
