MAYOR Vilma Caluag has pledged to provide burial assistance to Fernandino indigents.
The mayor said she aims to replicate a similar program when she was still barangay chairman for Barangay Dolores.
In line with program, Caluag inspected the Himalayang Fernandino Public Cemetery.
The first lady mayor of the city said she wanted to expand and create more burial apartments.
Caluag said the local government unit will be working with funeral homes to lessen the expenses.
During her term as barangay chairman, Caluag had instituted a program that helps residents with their burial expenses.
