Collaboration poised to attain shelter solutions, housing goals in NegOcc

NEGROS Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson has met with Habitat for Humanity International Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Reckford at the Seda Capitol Central in Bacolod City yesterday, July 12, for a collaborative project that seeks to provide shelter solutions and achieve housing goals in the province.

The governor and Reckford attended the Negros Occidental Impact 2025 (NOI2025) Meeting together with the Chief Executive Officer of Habitat for Humanity Philippines Mardi Mapa-Suplido, Bacolod City Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez, Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz II, Executive Assistant to the Governor Marie June Castro, concerned local government unit (LGU) mayors, and other housing stakeholders.

Habitat Philippines partners with LGUs in providing homes to homeless families and communities.

Lacson thanked Habitat for Humanity, Hilti Foundation and Base Bahay Foundation for their generosity and dedicated commitment to build houses, and to build sustainable communities for families in Negros Occidental.
