Sasmuan town logs 5 active coronavirus cases as of July 13

THIS coastal town has seen a return of active coronavirus cases with a total of five cases as of July 13.

Two active cases were recorded in Barangay Santa Lucia while three other cases were from Santo Tomas.

Since the start of the pandemic, some 21 people have died of the virus in the said town. Some 345 confirmed cases have been recorded since the start of the pandemic with 319 people having since recovered.

Local health officials are currently monitoring two probable cases. The town has yet to report any mortality caused by the virus since the last quarter of 2021.
