METRO Pacific Tollways Corp. (MPTC) has launched the MPT DriveHub mobile app designed for motorists traversing the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX).
The MPT DriveHub, developed by MPTC, parent firm of Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway Corp. (CCLEC), is a travel companion app that offers a variety of mobility solutions and enables Cebuanos passing through the 8.9-kilometer bridge to manage their radio-frequency identification (RFID) accounts, check and reload their balances, while ensuring a smoother and more efficient, better user travel experience.
Gines Barot, assistant vice president for MPT DriveHub operations, said the app offers a peace of mind and convenience for all users traveling along the expressway.
“Giving each and every driver or motorist that peace of mind that there is an app, a driver partner that they can go through in their everyday drive,” Barot said during the launch on Wednesday, July 13.
Its core features includes registration, dashboard, balance inquiry, reloading, toll fee matrix, and hotlines.
Users can also easily check and calculate their toll fees to prepare for the payment through their RFID account, while reloading of the account can be done anytime with the use of credit and debit card, PayMaya, and GCash.
The MPT Drivehub app also assists the motorists to plan and schedule their trip ahead of time. The technology provides the user the necessary data and information especially knowing as to where is the nearest pit stops for dining, bathroom breaks, gas-ups, and even shopping.
The app also gives latest traffic advisory and updates; in case of emergency, users can request for roadside assistance with the expressway hotline number in the app.
The all-in-one app is available for download for both iOS and Android devices.
On March 1, MPT DriveHub app was made available for RFID users in MPTC’s network of expressways at North Luzon Expressway, Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway, Manila-Cavite Toll Expressway, and Cavite-Laguna Expressway.
MPTC is also planning to add other expressways and roads into the MPT DriveHub app, allowing a seamless and easier tollway transactions for all travelers in the country.
CCLEC general manager and president Allan Alfon said that they are still completing all measures that ensure or enhance the safety of motorists.
“The team has been helping us in developing an application that allows users to be able to load the load and even view their account conveniently and comfortably,” Alfon said.
The company is also eyeing to expand the mobile application to be used for other purposes like parking, gasing up, and even charging electric vehicle.
Donald Saurombe, assistant vice president for business development at MPT Mobility, said that these developments include Motorist Marketplace, Insurance, Road Assistance, Parking Access, E-wallet services, and EV Charging Stations.
“This all will be done through the MPT Drivehub, I hope you all looking forward to these services and we are commited to providing stress-free experience for all motorists,” Saurombe said.
