GOVERNOR Dennis “Delta” Pineda on Monday said that he plans to put more investment in the province’s tourism and climate resilience programs.

The governor is looking at boosting Pampanga’s food and heritage tourism as well as ecotourism to attract more tourists and investments into key areas of the province. The program will include planning and careful assessment of tour packages for tourists who plan to visit Pampanga.

“Tutulong po tayo sa pag-improve ng packaging ng ating mga food products. At tutulong din po tayo sa preservation at promotion ng mga cultural at heritage properties gaya ng simbahan, historical structures at landmarks,” Pineda said.

Pineda also assured that the province will continue the training for disaster preparedness among communities, schools, barangays, district hospitals, and the private sector. The current administration is also committing to constructing disaster-resilient infrastructures and the purchase of more response equipment and vehicles for quick and efficient disaster response.

The governor said that they are looking at using solar technology for Capitol buildings. Pineda added that mangrove planting and solid waste management programs like the creation of material recovery facilities will continue under his administration.
