Napili nga bag-ong presidente sa League of Municipality (LMP) Cebu Chapter si Daanbantayan Mayor Sun Shimura atol sa gihimong piniliay sa mga bag-ong opisyal sa Hulyo 15, 2022.
Si Shimura nakakuha sa unanimous votes atol sa municipal mayors’ general assembly sa Seda Hotel Central Bloc, IT Park, Cebu City.
Atol sa pakighinabi sa mga tigbalita, unang nagpasalamat si Shimura sa suporta ni kanhi LMP Cebu president, karon kasamtangan nga Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Christina Garcia-Frasco, ingon man sa pagsalig ug kompiyansa ni Gobernador Gwendolyn Garcia ngadto kaniya.
Matod sa bag-ong pangu sa LMP nga gawas nga ipadayon niini ang mga programang nasugdan ni Frasco, motutok usab ang mga munisipalidad sa pagpalambo ug pag recover sa matag lungsod pinaagi sa turismo.
Unang giduso nga resolusyon sa bag-ong termino mao ang pag-request sa LMP-Cebu ni Presidente Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. alang sa suspension sa full devolution sa Mandanas ruling.
“There was a discussion sa Mandanas ruling and ganina we have filed our first resolution requesting President Ferndinand Marcos Jr. for the suspension of the full devolution of Mandanas. So, ni request mi it’s because the 37 percent nga increase which karon ning-ubos man gani pod kay tungod sa aning taxes tungod sa pandemic but tungod man gud sa Mandanas dili naman gud makahatag ang mga national agencies og projects,” matod ni Shimura sa Hulyo 15, 2022.
Gawas sa maong resolusyon, gustong tutokan sa LMP-Cebu ang pagpalambo sa turismo sa nasud.
Gilaraw niini ang pagsugod sa tourism circuit ug rest stops kon diin mapaila-ila ang mga produkto sa probinsya sa Sugbo.
“We have discussed ganina nga one of the directions sa LMP Cebu right now is to agree on a tourism circuit in support to the Suroy-Suroy Sugbo,” dugang ni Shimura.
Nalakip usab sa napiling mga opisyal sa bag-ong termino mao sila si Consolacion Mayor Nene Alegado isip vice president (internal affairs) samtang si Sogod Mayor Monyeen Durano-Streegan isip vice president (external affairs).
Gitahasan nga mahimong secretary sa LMP-Cebu ang bag-ong mayor sa lungsod sa Barili nga si Pablo John “John-John” Garcia IV; Alcantara Mayor Fritz Lastimoso (auditor); Borbon Mayor Noel Dotillos (treasurer); ug Dalaguete Mayor Ronnie Cesante (public relations officer).
Samtang nalakip sa mga board of directors mao sila si Argao Mayor Allan Cesaldo, Balamban Mayor Ace Binghay, Medellin Mayor Joven Mondigo Jr., Carmen Mayor Carlo Villamor, Cordova Mayor Cesar Suan, Moalboal Mayor Inocentes “Titing” Cabaron ug Tabuelan Mayor Raul Gerona.
Subay niini, gipasalig ni Shimura ang padayong pakig-alayon ug pakighiusa sa mga opisyal sa mga lokalidad alang sa kalamboan sa Sugbo.
“Together, we will continue the unity we have in the past three years. Despite the pandemic and calamities that Cebu island have faced, we will conquer these problems together,” matod ni Shimura.
