THE Department of Agriculture (DA) Central Luzon through its Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) issued a public advisory on results of swine fever tests used in the region.

"This is to remind our clients that the Bureau of Animal Industry-Animal Health and Welfare Division (BAI-AHWD) shall only recognize Laboratory tests for African Swine Fever performed by the Animal Disease Diagnostic and Reference Laboratory (ADDRL), Regional Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratories (RADDL), and BAI-accredited laboratories," the DA said in a public advisory posted on its social media site on July 15.

Otherwise, ASF laboratory test results submitted for the application or renewal of Certificate of Free Status of African Swine Fever (CFS-ASF) and other Certifications issued under the DA will not be processed, the advisory said.

The DA warns that misdeclaration and falsification of documents are punishable by law.
