Duno, Bernaldez, Moralde see action in Colombia

SANMAN pugs Romero Duno, Mark Bernaldez and John Vincent Moralde will keep themselves busy in activity fights in Colombia on Aug. 6, 2022.

Duno is looking to return to his winning ways with a confidence-boosting fight against journeyman Yogli Herrera at the Casino Hollywood Milla de Oro in Medellin.

The 26-year-old Duno hasn’t fought for six months since losing to Frank Martin via a fourth round technical knockout.

Herrera should be a good activity fight for Duno because the 39-year-old Colombian has fought some elite names—the likes of Anselmo Moreno and Mikey Garcia.

Herrera is coming off a unanimous decision defeat to Nigel Fennell last month.

Duno is 24-3 with 19 knockouts, while Herrera is 29-34 with 21 knockouts.

Moralde (24-5, 13 KOs) faces Ernesto Vasquez (8-19, 4 KOs), while Bernaldez (23-6, 17 KOs) is up against Jorge Bonilla (3-11-1).

Both Moralde and Bernaldez lost their last fights.

Moralde was knocked out by William Zepeda in the fourth round last Nov. 13, 2021, while Bernaldez was stopped by Oscar Duarte in the eighth round last month.

Duno, Moralde and Bernaldez are all training in Miami, Florida under the tutelage of Cuban coach Osmiri “Moro” Fernandez.
