Pampanga logs 109 new Covid-19 cases

THE number of active COVID-19 cases in Pampanga had increased to 600.

This after some 109 new cases were recorded on Monday, July 18.

The Department of Health (DOH) placed the total number of confirmed cases in Pampanga since the start of the pandemic at some 89, 672 with 87, 216 patient recoveries.

Corona virus-related deaths in Pampanga have not increased from the 1, 856 recorded since last month, according to the DOH.

Pampanga has reported some 571 coronavirus cases in the last 14 days.

Angeles City alone reported another 141 cases for the same period.

No virus-related death was recorded in the city in the last 14-days.

Majority of the 45 health facilities in the province are now experiencing a slight increase in the number of bed occupancies.

The rate of occupancy in the region is currently at 14.6 percent, significantly higher than in previous months. This means that 101 of the total 690 hospital beds in Pampanga devoted to coronavirus cases are currently occupied.

Some 37 out of the 45 health facilities in Pampanga are currently at a safe level despite the slight increase in the number of cases.
