THE Ministry of Health in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MOH-Barmm) is set to build 10 barangay health stations (BHS) in Cotabato City, a top health official of the autonomous region said.
Dr. Zul Qarneyn Abas, officer-in-chage and health minister, said that amounting to P2.5 million each, the BHS will be constructed in the villages of Kalanganan 1 and 2; Bucana Mother Kalanganan, Rosary Heights 3, 5, and 8; Poblacion 3, 6, and 9; an Bagua 3.
Abas said each of the 10 villages will also receive P500,000 worth of health equipment, while the Cotabato City Health Office will receive P3 million worth of equipment.
Abas said that these are all part of MOH’s effort in enhancing the health services in Cotabato City, through its Tiyakap Bangsamoro Kalusugan Program and Health Facility Enhancement Program.
“We will meet with the City Health Office to introduce all the programs of MOH,” Abas said. (SunStar Zamboanga)
