THOSE who are fond of seeing some old stuff owned by former Negrense hero General Juan Aranet,a which used to be displayed at his residence called the Balay ni Tan Juan in Bago City, can now be seen on the second floor of the Negros Museum in Bacolod City.
These include his century-old baul (treasure chest), chairs, mirror, old telephone and other stuff that have historical significance in the life of the former Negros hero can be gleaned at the Negros Museum.
Roger Mones, executive assistant at the Negros Museum, said the Balay ni Tan Juan exhibit will run until next year at the Museum.
This will give Bacolodnons and other guests the experience of seeing this antique stuff owned by the former Negros hero.
It is located at the La Casa De Negros Hall of the Negros Museum, where this hall displays old things and materials that belonged to ancient houses and structures, which can be reminiscent of the glorious past.
Tan Juan was a pioneer Negrense sugar framer and revolutionary leader during the Negros Revolution in 1898.
He was associated with the Negros Independence Movement.
He is one of the crucial personalities in the history of Negros, being the province's revolutionary leader.
